Melina (she/they) is a freelance arts and culture writer. They have provided reviews for The Book Bird, Geelong’s only independent bookstore, managed the Deakin disruptr blog as a contributor and editor, and served on the editorial board for Verandah Journal. They are known for being a risk-taking comms writer who put the storytelling back into marketing.

Melina’s other nonfiction can be found in Matters Journal, The Fifth Estate and Voiceworks, and their poetry can be found in #EnbyLife and Baby Teeth Journal.

When they aren’t writing, Melina provides gentle editorial feedback on blog posts, screenplays, manuscripts – if it’s got words, they want to see them.
